Our mission is to provide creatives with the tools, experiences, and guidance needed to confidently pursue careers in media, marketing, journalism, and film/TV. The Academy will prepare them for careers in entrepreneurship, freelancers, and corporate environments.
What We Do
Mentorship in Motion
Since 2022, The Positive Space Academy has empowered creatives through immersive experiences in media, marketing, journalism, and film/TV.
We collaborate with educational institutions, corporations, creative professionals, and various community partners to offer hands-on programs, both in person and virtual for creators aged 16-21.
Program Focuses
The Positive Space Academy provides our participants the opportunity to dive into the world of film, advertising, journalism, and gaining hands-on experience across storytelling formats that shape culture and influence society.
Whether it’s behind the camera, in the writer’s room, or in front of an editing bay, our programs are designed to expose aspiring creatives to the tools, workflows, and mindsets of working professionals.
Film & Television
Our Academy members learn what it takes to bring scripted stories to life-developing ideas, working on set, understanding production roles, and how to become an effective world builder.
Journalism | Documentary
We teach the power of impactful storytelling in an expansive media landscape. Our members explore documentary production, podcast production, & media writing. We equip students to ask questions that matter, shape stories with impact, and work in a rapidly evolving industry.
Artificial Intelligence | Emerging Creative Technologies
We integrate technology across our program focuses to show students how modern creatives are utilizing it to enhance, not replace, their work. From editing tools like Adobe Creative Suite and DaVinci Resolve, to AI platforms like Descript, EnfraChain, Runway, Latimer.AI, and ChatGPT, students explore how to streamline workflows, generate creative assets, and make storytelling more dynamic and accessible.
Advertising & Marketing
The Academy offers our members a front-row seat to how marketing campaigns are developed. They shadow a team of marketing professionals and see brand strategy, client acquisition, content creation, and more.
Video Production Equipment
Our Academy members will have the opportunity to work with industry standard production equipment spanning from lenses, cameras, lighting, and more. They will learn how to capture content with purpose-developing the visual and technical skills needed to thrive in today's fast-paced creative environment.
Mentorship & Career Readiness
Our mentors are working creatives, marketers, producers, and entrepreneurs who share their knowledge, feedback and lived experiences.
We went through it so they don't have to.
The Academy will provide resume building workshops, portfolio development, mock interviews, and access to networking events. Our members will gain the tools and guidance they need to step into internships, entrepreneurship, and higher education with clarity and confidence.
